State Capital

So a couple of weeks ago there was a photowalk put together by a group on flickr. Their plan was to go to a couple of different parks around downtown Salt Lake City and the State Capital. Sadly enough I could not attend, so last weekend I decided to take a walk around the Capital building. Here are some of the shots I took.

Candle Light Photography

So the other week there was a post on DPS about taking candle light photos, so I decided to give it a try. I was able to get my girlfriend Sterling and my two step sisters to pose for me. Due to the fact that the only light in the room was coming from the two candles I needed a really slow shutter speed in order to capture the necessary amount of light. The shutter speed was so low that even the shake from pressing the shutter release was too much for the pictures to come out clear. So I ended up tethering my D80 to my MacBook and using Aperture's remote shutter release to take the shots. Tell me what you think.
